Arepanita's Cafe: Reviews & Ratings
What a quaint place! My wife and I stopped here. We never have eaten Venezuelan cuisine before. The service was amazing. The owner Francisco is so genuine. We ordered the chicken arepas and the ground beef empanadas. The menu states that the food is made fresh everyday. The taste confirms that! The food is absolutely amazing. So filling! Quesillo is the only dessert listed on the menu. We did not order it. However, Francisco brought out 2 mini muffins on the house! The interior is decorated nicely. The building it is currently in is small (15 person capacity,) but very nice! It was a but Smokey in there. It bothered my eyes just a little. Other than that it is an amazing Restaraunt! A hidden gem of waukesha!
Delicious and tastes homemade. Really enjoyed Pabellón Criollo and the empanadas are so good. Crispy outside, well cooked and fluffy inside.
The restaurant is very small, but the atmosphere, food, and service are all amazing. Francisco was extremely welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. He also makes everything to order so it smells delicious while you wait for the food. I will definitely be eating here whenever I'm even remotely close to this area.
Super great and welcoming place in Waukesha. Francisco was very professional and attentive. I’m from Peru and they did have Peruvian beer which was a super plus on my books. Totally recommend this place because their seasoning is as good as a Peruvian restaurant I believe. The ambiance was very welcoming and comforting. Definitely give it a try!
I have walked by this restaurant many times and have been wanting to stop in because it is so colorful and charming. Yesterday was my first visit and I will definitely go back. It is a small space with just 3 tables, but so bright and welcoming. Francisco was so genuine and attentive. I eat vegetarian and he made me a delicious arepa with fresh veggies. This was my first time trying Venezuelan food and it was very flavorful. There was a good selection for both meat eaters and vegetarians.
This little restaurant in downtown Waukesha is a great place to experience fresh, authentic cuisine, with a South American vibe and very friendly service. The food is not only delicious, you do get your money’s worth. My husband had been craving empanadas, so we both tried one, and they did not disappoint. We will be back to try more menu items!
Just happened to find this place on Google Maps. I stopped in for lunch as I was only half a mile away. The owner / chef Francisco is as amazing as the food he prepared for me! I'm looking forward to returning ASAP!
I’m a gluten intolerant human who is so tired of salad and pizza that I have skipped meals. I’m happy to say that this little gem was just what I was craving on this WI voyage. It was worth the 1/2 hour (out of our way) drive for something completely different! It’s a cozy place with comfortable seats. They seem to be clean and welcoming. The food was fresh and delicious!
